We will be leaving the port of Palma at 10:00 in the morning. After about 25 minutes’ fast sail we will make a stop under the dramatic cliffs of Cabo Blanco, a hidden crystal-water, sandy-bed cove where no-one can access but by boat, where you can have an unforgettable and refreshing swim in some of the most beautiful waters of Mallorca. Then, we will continue sailing towards Cabrera maybe accompanied by dolphins and seagulls.
The Cabrera archipelago is composed by the main island, Cabrera, and 18 islets. The first one we will see is called Na Foradada, a 42-meter-high rock, flattened at the top and with vertical walls falling to the sea. Cabrera is a 1.569-hectare- long island. It is full of cliffs and coves, capes and sandy beaches and, of course, caves all round its littoral. The biggest and most spectacular cave in Cabrera is Sa Cova Blava, one of the main attractions of this trip, with its ink-blue waters.
We will arrive in “es port”, where we will tie to a buoy ( anchoring is forbidden in this natural park). Then, you decide whether to go hicking round any of the different itineraries of this lovely island full of birds and the Mallorcan lizards called ‘dragones’, stop at its little but interesting museum or go snorkeling and enjoy the best diving experience in the Balearic Islands.
We encourage you to trace the history of this interesting island and the vestiges of human presence for more than 2000 years, when the Romans elaborated the ‘garum’ a substance made out of blue fermented fish and Mediterranean herbs which were added as a condiment to the different dishes they used to prepare and were, in fact, considered as aphrodisiac!
The Museum, the ruins of the castle, and other rests of old constructions will tell you of the history of this strategic little islets. At the end of the day you will already be planning for a next trip to Cabrera!
